Joy Behar is 78! The View star celebrated her birthday on Oct. 7, and she was met with so much love from her co-hosts, as well as fans.

Notably, Meghan McCain—who is known for going head-to-head with Behar on the show—shared a heartwarming birthday tribute on Instagram.

“Happy Birthday to my favorite liberal sparring partner @JoyVBehar—there’s no one I love fighting with more,” she wrote in the caption. “I really miss loitering around in your dressing room, watching cable news, and gossiping after the show with you... You are a true powerhouse and ultimate original! Grateful to call you a friend. ♥️🌟🇺🇸”

View fans loved to see the sweet friendship between the co-hosts come to light, as they’re often going back and forth with differing political opinions on the show.

“Omg this pic makes me SO HAPPY!!!! ❤️👯♀️⭐️,” one person commented. “We don’t have to agree to have respect and love for each other,” another added.

“I love how you guys argue and walk away friends!” chimed in another.

McCain and Behar have co-hosted The View together since 2017 and have grown quite close over that time. Although things can get heated on camera, McCain has assured that they actually have a great relationship.

When interviewing one another in an ET segment, McCain told Behar that the reports of them not liking each other are hurtful. “It genuinely hurts my feelings because our dressing rooms are next door to each other and you and I have the same emotional reaction to things—sometimes in different ways—but we’re both upset equally, the equal amount of the same things. And I wish people would give us a break, for real.”

“What we’re saying, we really mean it!” Behar added. “It’s not an act, we don’t sugarcoat it, we go right in it. And I think that’s what we have in common. And I think that there’s mutual respect for that.”
